117 POULTRY DRINKER SYSTEMS Plasson Water on Demand System By simply upgrading every nipple line to the patented Plasson pressure reducers you allow the WOD system to operate. Plasson regulators can be upgraded using an easy-to-use Retrofit Kit. The water pressure in all drinker lines can be managed from a single location by using 2 pre-set pressure regulators (one regulator for low to medium pressures and a second regulator for medium to high pressures). Additional pre-set regulators are available if desired, giving you more stages for your program. The patent pending Water on Demand (WOD) ensures uniform pressure in all drinker lines and supplies water according to your birds’ changing demands. This takes the labor out of constantly changing individual regulator pressures as birds age and adjusting water levels in riser tubes. Water on Demand does not require additional expensive infrastructure for installation. It fits every Plasson watering system and can fit other brands of drinking systems using a Retrofit Kit. Water on Demand maximizes bird performance with optimal water supply, maintains drier litter, and cuts labor costs. The WOD system enables immediate transition between different preset pressures of all nipple lines in a house by closing and opening solenoid or manual valves at a central control point. With the solenoid model, you can control automated valves through your controller or a standard electrical timer. These immediate, uniform pressure transitions at specific ages and peak drinking times aid in bird performance and lead to simplified management of your watering system. PRESSURE REQUIREMENT: Inlet pressure to the Water on Demand Control Unit requires a minimum of 43 psi. Operating the WOD panel between 8-43 psi will allow the Plasson Pressure Reducers to regulate line pressure between 4 to 24 column inches.
