Stand the cone upright with the larger diameter on the ground and force the cone to bend to allow the final connection tabs to insert into the remaining connection slots. Secure round connections with 5/16”-18 X 3/4” hex bolts, 5/16” flat washers, and 5/16”-18 serrated nuts leaving the slots closet to the larger diameter open at this time. A washer should be used on the inside and outside of each connection. BOLT HEADS SHOULD BE ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE CONE! 5 Insert cone onto fan housing orifice. Align predrilled holes in cone with cone support brackets and secure with supplied 5/16”x 1” stainless bolts, washers, and lock nuts. Slotted holes are provided in the cone for easier installation. 6. Insert grill guard into fan cone and secure with supplied stainless bolts, washers, and nuts. Each connection should use 1 bolt, 2 washers, and 1 nut.
