Step 1: Unplug fan motor to prevent accidental operation during the installation of the wind diverter. Step 2: Using a ¼” drill bit, drill out the three pre-punched locations on the sloped surface of the cone. Step 3: Using the included hardware use one machine screw, one nylon lock nut, and two washers to fasten the brackets to the cone. See Figure 2 for the correct fastening order.
