RUST STOP stops further erosion and rusting of metal buildings, machinery, tools, vehicles, equipment, boats and virtually all metals. When applied, RUST STOP chemically converts rust into a black organic compound. A clear acrylic coating is formed. The coating is sufficient to last for years without painting, or it can be painted-over using solvent-based epoxy, urethane, latex or oil-based paints. Extends the life of anything made of metal. Remove all debris. Soils, oils, and other contaminants can be removed by high-pressure cleaning with mild degreaser (if needed). Allow it to dry. Clean rusted surface of loose rust flakes (if remaining) with wire brush, pressure wash, or other mechanical means. Vantek warrants for a period of one (1) year that its products will be free of manufacturing defects and will be in conformity with published specifications when handled, stored, mixed, and applied in accordance with recommendations of Vantek. If any product fails to meet this warranty, the liability of Vantek will be limited to replacement of any non-conforming material if notice of such nonconformity is given to Vantek within (1) one year of delivery of materials. Vantek may in its discretion refund the price received by Vantek in lieu of replacing the material. No customer, distributor, or representative of Vantek is authorized to change or modify the published specifications of this warranty in any way. No one is authorized to make oral warranties on behalf of Vantek. In order to obtain replacement or refund the customer must provide written notice containing full details of the non-conformity. Vantek reserves the right to inspect the non-conforming material prior to replacement. Limited Warranty In case of eye contact, flush immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes and get medical attention. For skin, wash thoroughly with soap and water. Cured material must be removed mechanically. Clean Up First Aid Shake or stir the product well before using. Some phase separation may occur during long term storage, but product quality is not compromised. Thinning is not required. Product can be sprayed, rolled, or brushed. The rust starts to turn black within a few minutes of application. A second coat can be applied to ensure complete conversion of all rust. Allow 30-45 minutes of dry time before applying a second coat. Allow up to 48 hours for complete cure of the rust converter before applying a topcoat. Reseal container immediately after decanting. Directions Empty containers may contain product residue, including flammable or combustible vapors. Do not cut, puncture, or weld near these containers. Label warnings must be observed until containers have been commercially cleaned or reconditioned.
